Always use tissue as a barrier between your fingers and the client’s skin. It’s sanitary and you don’t disturb the makeup.
Cleanliness is a priority in the beauty industry. You always want to practice high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. As a makeup artist, you want to avoid directly touching the person’s skin. Touching the skin is unsanitary and can also be uncomfortable to the client. Use a tissue when needing to touch the skin.
Also, your fingers contain oils. Your natural oils can disrupt the makeup. Again when you need to touch the skin use a tissue as a barrier to avoid getting your oils on the person.
