When applying mascara start with the bottom lashes. Ask your client to look up at the ceiling and apply on the bottom. Then ask your client to look straight ahead. Apply many coats to the top lashes. By starting with the bottom lashes you are preventing the mascara on the top lashes from touching the eye socket.
