Makeup Tip Monday #25

Makeup Tip Monday #25

Layer your products from wet to dry. Putting wet products on top of dry can cause a gritty effect.

Timing is very important with the makeover process. Some products require drying time before adding on top of them. Wet or cream products, in particular, draw dry products into them. If you add dry products on top of them too soon, streaking, spottiness, and color alteration could occur.

Some antishine and anticreasing products require drying time, but some react well and to your benefit with other products layered on top immediately. Read the label on how to use these products.

Cream eyeshadows typically are applied first then dry shadows are added later. Adding cream shadow on top of dry shadows could cause grittiness. The shadows could start to break up and flake onto the face.
