Teaching Glamping beside Dawn has been a fun and creative bonding activity with the young girls that attended the week-long camp. We had the opportunity to not only teach them about makeup skills, but also useful life skills appropriate for their age. They had fun expressing their creativity with makeup while also learning techniques on how to apply makeup.
We began teaching them about skincare first. Explaining the importance of cleansing, moisturizing and protecting their skin.
We went over age appropriate looks for different settings like school, dinner at a restaurant with family, school dances, and more!
We also go over topics such as the importance of hygiene and organization. We explain the importance of using clean brushes and tools to prevent bacteria transfer. We teach them not to share makeup with others.
In class there is homework, the girls are encouraged to clean their makeup brushes and tools, clean their room, organize their closet, etc. It's a win-win for parents as well!
Glamping is a fun experience and we love teaching young girls valuable skills for their everyday life-like positive self-imaging and the importance of self-esteem and self-worth.
I am confident that the young girls had a great time and learned not just about makeup, but valuable life skills that they can use their entire life. Glamping is perfect for 5th to 8th grade girls. It’s also a great opportunity for young girls to make new friends or do the class with friends as a group. It's a fun and unforgettable experience to cherish during the summer!
